Let’s take a look at some of the companies that are catching our eye in after-hours trading. Ulta Beauty — Shares fell about 7% after the beauty products retailer reported second-quarter sales and profits that fell short of expectations. Ulta earned $5.30 a share, while analysts surveyed by LSEG were expecting $5.46 a share. Revenue of $2.55 billion also missed analysts’ expectations of $2.61 billion. The company also lowered its full-year outlook. MongoDB — Shares of the database company rose nearly 13%. MongoDB issued strong fiscal guidance for the third quarter, predicting adjusted earnings of 65 cents to 68 cents a share and revenue of $493 million to $497 million. Analysts surveyed by LSEG were expecting earnings of 60 cents a share and revenue of $479 million. Dell Technologies — Shares rose 3.6% after the technology company sharply beat quarterly expectations. Dell reported second-quarter adjusted earnings of $1.89 per share, beating analysts’ expectations of $1.71 per share, according to LSEG. Revenue of $25.03 billion also beat analysts’ expectations of $24.53 billion. Marvel Technology — The semiconductor company jumped nearly 9%. Marvell issued third-quarter guidance that beat analysts’ expectations, predicting adjusted earnings of 40 cents per share on revenue of $1.45 billion. Analysts surveyed by LSEG were expecting earnings of 38 cents per share on revenue of $1.4 billion. Lululemon Athletica — Shares of the sports apparel retailer rose 6% after second-quarter profit beat expectations but sales were weak. Lululemon reported earnings of $3.15 per share on revenue of $2.37 billion. Analysts surveyed by LSEG expected earnings of $2.93 per share on revenue of $2.41 billion. Elastic NV – Shares of the artificial intelligence search company fell 23%. Elastic issued weak guidance for second-quarter revenue of $353 million to $355 million, versus analyst expectations of $361 million (according to LSEG). Full-year revenue guidance was also weak.
