A look at companies garnering attention in premarket trading: KKR, CrowdStrike, GoDaddy — KKR shares rose more than 8%, while CrowdStrike and GoDaddy rose 6% and 3%, respectively. All three will join the S&P 500 on June 24 as part of the quarterly index rebalancing. S&P Dow Jones Indices announced on Friday that three stocks would be dropped from the index: Robert Half, Comerica and Illumina. All of those stocks fell in premarket trading. Dell Technologies and Palantir Technologies shares fell 1% and 3%, respectively, on disappointment that the two were not added to the index. AMD — The chipmaker’s shares fell more than 2% following a downgrade by Morgan Stanley, with analyst Joseph Moore saying Wall Street’s hopes for the benefits of artificial intelligence may be out of reach.DraftKings — The sports betting stock rose 1.8% after Morgan Stanley reaffirmed its overweight rating and said the stock again deserves a top pick designation. Morgan Stanley said the stock could rise despite concerns over Illinois’ legalization of sports betting taxes. Nvidia — Shares fell slightly ahead of the chipmaker’s first day of trading after a 1-for-10 stock split. Southwest Airlines — The airline’s shares rose more than 8% after The Wall Street Journal reported that activist Elliott Investment Management had taken a large stake in the company. Carvana — Shares surged 3% after JPMorgan named the auto market its top pick, citing strong execution to source a wide range of vehicles at a variety of price points.Renew Energy Global — The decarbonization stock jumped nearly 7% after Morgan Stanley raised its price target on the company, arguing that Renew is “strongly positioned to lead India’s energy transition with its core renewable energy business and expansion into module manufacturing and green hydrogen.” Planet Fitness — Shares of the fitness center chain rose about 4% following an upgrade by Jefferies early Monday. Analyst Randall Connick said the “stars are aligning” for Planet Fitness stock, adding that he expects strong growth for the franchise unit in 2025. — CNBC’s Michelle Fox, Alex Harring and Jesse Pound contributed to the report
