Home Alone fans, rejoice.
The famous suburban Chicago home that Kevin McCallister once left behind from a family trip to Paris went on the market this week, according to a Zillow listing for 671 Lincoln Ave. in Winnetka.
But potential buyers will need to be prepared to pay big bucks: The more than 9,000-square-foot home is listed for $5.25 million.
According to its Zillow page, this is the first time the property has been listed for sale since the current owners purchased it in 2012 for $1.58 million.
The home was briefly listed on Airbnb in 2021 as an exclusive, one-night stay, giving true Home Alone fans the chance to experience the magic of Christmas.
Eagle-eyed fans may notice that the interior of the house isn’t exactly the same as in the movie.
According to NBC Chicago, the family scenes inside the house were shot at New Trier Township High School because the house was too small to fit the entire cast and crew for filming.
The home was “completely renovated and expanded” in 2018, according to Zillow.
“During the renovation, the current owners took great care to preserve the architectural detail and integrity of the home’s most striking and visible spaces,” the Zillow page states.
The Georgian-style brick home features five bedrooms, six bathrooms, two living rooms, a kitchen with two large islands and double ovens, a three-car garage and a screened-in porch with a fireplace.
There’s also a basketball court and a movie theater with “Home Alone” memorabilia on display.
