Here’s what CNBC television producers were watching as stocks edged higher on Tuesday, and what they’re watching in Wednesday’s session.
NVIDIA
CNBC’s Seema Modi will report Nvidia’s numbers after the close. On “Market Navigator,” part of “Power Lunch” on Tuesday, options play Tony Chan warned that he was buying protection, a put spread to profit if the stock falls after the report. Nvidia has risen about 179% over the past year and is poised to surge 159% into 2024. The stock is up 8.8% from its June 20 high. According to FactSet, 92% of analysts tracking the stock rate it as a buy or overweight, while 8% consider it a hold. The average target price is $142.63, and today’s closing price is $128.30. Nvidia has risen 20.5% in the past three months.

Crowdstrike
CNBC’s Steve Kovach will release the quarterly numbers after the close. Crowdstrike Following a major IT outage on July 19, the company’s shares have fallen 21.5% since then. They had been trending downwards before then, falling 32% from their high on July 9. But CrowdStrike shares are up 80% in the past year. In the past three months, shares are down 23%.
Salesforce
CNBC’s Julia Boorstin reports after the market closes when the company reports quarterly earnings. The stock is up 17% from its March high.Salesforce It has fallen 3% over the past three months.

The Great American Consumer
On CNBC on Tuesday, there were two good comments from NYSE producer and earnings expert Robert Hamm. He Nordstrom and PVHBoth companies saw strong regular price/list price sales, beating expectations. Nordstrom was up 6% after the close. Its stock price was down 7% in August. PVH was down 7% after the close. Its stock price was up 4.4% in the past month.
Foot Locker
The retailer reported Wednesday morning. Foot Locker That’s up 8% from its February high, and shares have risen nearly 49% in the past three months.Nike It’s down 7% over that period, and is down 31% from its December high.
