3. Polkadot’s decentralized governance has approved the Join-Accumulate Machine (JAM) protocol as the network’s future architecture. According to the team, “A minimalist blockchain concept, JAM supports secure rollup domain-specific chains and provides synchronous configuration across services. To spur development, the Web3 Foundation has launched the JAM Implementer’s Prize, a 10 million DOT fund (approximately $64.7 million) to create diverse JAM implementations. The initiative aims to increase the scalability and flexibility of blockchain applications, integrating elements of Polkadot and Ethereum to enable a versatile and secure environment.” The JAM “grey paper” by Polkadot founder Gavin Wood can be found here.
