Super Micro Computer and Advanced Micro Devices soared more than 5% and 3%, respectively. Taiwan Semiconductor — The chipmaker rose 2.4% after forecasting 10% annual revenue growth for the global semiconductor industry. Live Nation — The concert industry giant’s stock price has soared as Bloomberg reports that the Department of Justice and several states will prosecute the company in the Southern District of New York on Thursday for antitrust violations related to Ticketmaster’s monopoly on concert ticket sales. The company fell 6% in the pre-market after reports that the company is expected to sue. Snowflake — This cloud computing company beat Wall Street’s first-quarter revenue estimates and rose 3.8%. Snowflake’s revenue was $829 million, while analysts surveyed by LSEG expected $786 million. Adjusted earnings for the quarter were 14 cents per share, 4 cents below consensus estimates. News Corp — Shares soared more than 5% after the media company announced late Wednesday that it had entered into a “multi-year global partnership” with OpenAI. As part of the deal, OpenAI will be able to display News Corp media content within the company’s ChatGPT chatbot. VF Corp — the parent company of The North Face and Vans, fell 13.6% after reporting an unexpected loss per share and weak earnings in the fourth quarter. VF Corp. had a loss of 32 cents per share on revenue of $2.37 billion, while analysts surveyed by LSEG expected earnings of 1 cent per share and revenue of $2.41 billion. Ta. NetEase — The Chinese game maker’s U.S. shares fell 3.4% after first-quarter revenue fell short of expectations. NetEase also paid a lower quarterly dividend than the previous quarter. Elf Beauty — The cosmetics maker significantly beat consensus estimates for the fourth quarter of analysts surveyed by FactSet, rising 3.4%. Specifically, Elf reported earnings per share excluding items of 53 cents on revenue of $321.1 million, compared to analysts’ expectations of earnings of 33 cents on revenue of $292.6 million. was. However, full-year guidance was lower than expected. LiveRamp Holdings — The advertising technology company rose 14.5% on better-than-expected fourth-quarter profits. Additionally, Live Lamp provided solid sales guidance for both the current quarter and the full year. Cytokinetics — The biopharmaceutical company fell 14.7% following a $500 million common stock offering. JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are the sole joint lead managers. DuPont de Nemours — Shares rose 5.3% after the company announced it would split into three separate businesses. One company responsible for the industrial solutions business will be the new DuPont. The remaining two companies will focus on electronic equipment and water purification businesses. Alibaba — Shares fell 1.5% after Bloomberg reported that Chinese tech giant Alibaba is considering issuing convertible bonds to raise $5 billion. Bloomberg, citing unnamed sources, said the bond offering could happen as early as this week. Take-Two Interactive Software — Video game shares rose 2.3% after Bank of America upgraded the stock to buy from neutral. The investment firm said in a note to clients that Take-Two’s game pipeline remains strong this year, even though Grand Theft Auto is scheduled for fall 2025. GoodRX — The medical-focused digital healthcare platform rose 5.8% after RBC upgraded it to Outperform from Sector Average. RBC said the stock has notable growth opportunities. Hasbro — The stock rose 3% after JPMorgan raised Hasbro’s investment rating from neutral to overweight. Investors are underestimating the toy maker’s cost efficiency and digital gaming prospects, he said.
