TCS Q1 forecast
According to an average estimate from four brokerages, TCS is expected to post an 8% year-on-year increase in net profit for the fiscal year ending June 2024. Revenue for the reported quarter is expected to rise to Rs 62,234 crore, which would be a 4.8% increase over the same quarter in the previous fiscal.
The gains will be driven by strong order growth in the previous quarters and traction from the BFSI and retail segments.
While Prabhudas Lilladher’s profit after tax (PAT) forecast is the highest among brokerages, ICICI Securities’ revenue forecast is top among several analysts. PL estimates the IT major’s net profit at Rs 12,310 crore, while ICICI Securities’ rupee-denominated revenue stands at Rs 62,491 crore.
Meanwhile, Kotak Equities expects net sales to grow nearly 5 percent year-on-year to Rs 62,229 crore, which translates to 1.6 percent growth quarter-on-quarter.
The company said revenue growth would be driven by strong order growth in the last quarter, while it expects weaker revenue from the financial services and communications industries.
EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) for the reported quarter is expected to be around Rs 16,572 crore, up 10 per cent year-on-year and 3 per cent quarter-on-quarter.
Kotak expects EBIT margin to grow 140 bps YoY while EBIT margin will decline 140 bps QoQ due to wage revisions and lower utilisation.
