Walmart Members will be getting some crazy deals.
The company announced a new partnership with fast-food chain Burger King on Thursday. The partnership allows members of its Walmart+ subscription program to receive 25% off Burger King orders through the BK app. Members will also receive a free flame-grilled Whopper with their purchase every three months, starting in September, according to a news release.
Walmart is positioning the added perk as cost savings for members, at a time when cost-conscious customers are increasingly looking for value.
“We know our members will appreciate the added savings and are thrilled to be working with a trusted brand like Burger King to offer this benefit,” senior vice president and general manager Venessa Yates said in a statement.
Walmart+ will cost $12.95 per month or $98 per year and will include free shipping and delivery on Walmart orders. Walmart has signed a streaming deal in 2022. Paramount Global Walmart+ members will be given free access to Paramount+’s ad-supported plan.
“We’re excited to join the Walmart+ program as its first dining partner and look forward to offering Walmart+ members even more value on their flame-grilled Burger King favorites,” Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer for Burger King North America, said in a statement.
